Description
Cards impossibly stick to your hands like iron filings to a magnet, and when they fall off, your hands are immediately examinable. The Magnetized Card plot has been astonishing audiences for decades, but now it is being tackled by one of the modern masters of card magic. Take your audience’s breath away when you perform Gasp by Erik Tait.
Here’s what happens:
Your audience selects a card that can be signed, and then it is lost in the deck. You show them that they will shuffle the deck, grab a handful of cards from the middle of the pack, and toss them on the table. The rest of the deck is put away, and the packet of cards is spread out into a large wash on the table. You place your hand palm down on the mess of cards, take a deep breath, and when you lift your hand, all of the cards except for one stick to your hand. While the cards are stuck to your hand you can even move them around, proving they must be adhered to you by magic. The single card remaining is, unbelievably, the card the spectator selected. When you let your breath out, the cards stuck to your hand cascade back onto the table. Your hands are immediately examinable.
The Gasp gimmick is a novel approach to the magnetized card plot that doesn’t use any special jewelry, sticky substances on your hand, shimmed cards, or threads to achieve this highly visual and jaw-dropping effect. You receive the Gasp Gimmick, a flexible card with a secret that can hide inside your deck and stick cards to your hands whenever you want. In addition to the gimmick, you receive a tutorial with Erik Tait, who teaches you a close-up routine that has audience members flipping out when you reveal their card. As a bonus, you will also learn Erik’s parlor routine. This novel presentation of the magnetized cards has made him one of the favorite performers at magic theaters across the country. Direct from the act of a FISM award-winning card magician is one of the most off-beat and memorable card tricks you will ever perform. Blow your audience’s minds when you perform Gasp by Erik Tait.
